MSNBC Finally Realized Tattoos are Art not Crap?? No Wonder No One Watches that Channel

MY RANT FOR THE MONTH
You know I was updating our blog and reading some stuff on the internet when I came across this article in MSNBC: The skin game: Once 'graffiti,'now body art Are tattoos back in vogue?

I thought
to myself,"You have to be kidding me right? " This article about tattoos and the alternative lifestyle, which was written in 2004, made it seem as if tattoos where some crazy underground drug being done by junkies and homeless people for the last 20 years.

Look tattoos are an expression of ones own personal beliefs, ideas, styles and personalities. When some one comes tomy tattoo shop near Florida International University (FIU), they come in because there is something that they believe in so passionately that they want it expressed to the world. When a chick comes into my tattoo shop and wants something as innocent as "tinker bell" (yeah weird, but its her thing) to something as raunchy as a "VIP" above her pu$$y (no other way to explain it so buck up), that person is expressing themselves to who ever eventually sees it.Oh yeah, and if you think Im making up the fairy tattoo or to the VIP tattoo, check these pics out.

HERE'S THAT LITTLE FAIRY

AND HERE IS THE VIP
(Hey if I picked this chick up at a bar, I'd find this really hot)

Look at this wikipedia cut and past:"Tattooing has been practiced for centuries worldwide. The Ainu, the indigenous people of Japan, traditionally wore facial tattoos. Today one can find Berbers of Tamazgha (North Africa), Māori of New Zealand, Arabic people in East-Turkey and Atayal of Taiwan with facial tattoos. Tattooing was widespread among Polynesian peoples and among certain tribal groups in the Taiwan, Philippines,Borneo, Mentawai Islands, Africa, North America, South America, Mesoamerica, Europe, Japan,Cambodia, New Zealand andMicronesia."

From this, it is easy to see that tattooing has never been "taboo".
This MSNBC article claiming that tattoos where once concidered "graffiti" rather than art is just a joke. You can see tattoos all over the place her in Miami. It's this reason why our tattoo shop, convinently located on SW 24th and 107th Ave in front of FIU (shameless plug on my own damn site, I have a mouth to feed) have so many people pass by.

Look my rant is done. Now I can go back to being a friendly tattoo shop manger. when you want to come by and get your ink done, give me a call or just swing by.We are open from noon to nine.

Christian.
